Birth registered at Dr William's Library 19.6.1821. In 1867 she was a spinster living at Ramsey; William Shepperson, son of Joseph Shepperson dec'd a farmer, was also a farmer and a widower living at Benwick, Cambs. They were married in "the Salem Chapel according to the Rites . . . of the Particular Baptists by Licence" by James Cattell, her brother-in-law; witnesses were Ann Cattell, Martha Shepperson and Isaac & Eliza Saunders. In 1896 Jane's brother Henry left legacies to the children of Joseph William & Harriet Shepperson.

In 1851 living at White Fen, Benwick ("Gothic House") with his first wife Elizabeth, sons Joseph, Tom & Arthur, daughters Sophia, Kate & Emily, a cousin & Governess, Elizabeth Beaumont (20, b.Ramsey, Hunts), a house maid & a dairy maid; he farmed 612 acres, employing 29 labourers. In 1871 living at White Fen with his second wife Jane, sons Arthur & Herbert & two servants; then farming 1477 acres, employing 45 men, 13 boys & 23 women. His Will of 16.8.1875 and Codicil of 1.11.1875 proved at Peterborough 16.3.1876; "under ยน10,000".
