In his Will dated 27.7.1939, proved at London 24.5.1940, he was a Retired Church Verger; probate to Messrs. Marten, solicitors, Croydon. Beneficiaries included his sister Mrs Sarah Drury, brother Richard Peerless, son Herbert Henry Peerless, grandsons Alan & Jim Peerless and others.
