Will dated 25.3.1825 with Codicil dated 26.5.1825, proved at London 7.4.1827 with probate to his widow Mary and James Stanford of Haxted, Lingfield, Surrey, with power reserved for Rev.George Mottram of East Grinstead the third Executor; beneficiaries were his widow and, after her death, all his children equally.

In 1896 Jane's brother Henry left legacies to the children of Joseph William & Harriet Shepperson.
