In Archdeaconry of Lewes Marriage Licence 31.7.1798, he was a "breechesmaker" of Speldhurst. Will of 7.12.1820 proved at London 11.5.1821, admon. to Daniel Dickenson of Pembury, farmer & James Richardson of Speldhurst, bricklayer. James Richardson, whose daughter Mary Anne married William Pearless of East Grinstead in 1837, also attended Countess of Huntingdon's Chapel, Mt.Ephraim, Tunbridge Wells; Henry had been a Trustee of the Will of James's father John. His Estate included property at Rotherfield; beneficiaries his 4 children.

Will dated 2.5.1856, proved at London 22.4.1871; probate to Mary Ann Austen, widow of Jeffery Austen, his sister and the surviving executor. He was unmarried and in 1851 Census he was living at Frog Lane, Little Mount Sion, Tunbridge Wells with his sister Mary; "Royal Tunbridge Wells" (R.Farthing 1990) has a photograph of Frog Lane, showing the building "used by Mr Peerless the fellmonger for storing sheepskins". In 1861 Census he was still living at Little Mount Zion, but alone.
